Bridget Oare is a Nurse Practitioner who specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She was born and raised in snowy Buffalo, NY and moved to sunny Florida in 2016 as a travel nurse. She worked in various hospitals across the state from Orlando to Miami. She spent the last 4 years or her nursing career in the operating room, where her interest and love for surgery first transpired.
Bridget graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Daemen College , NY. She then continued her education and graduated Dean’s list with a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Keiser University, Fl. As part of her NP program, Bridget did a 2-month long rotation at Siperstein Dermatology, working alongside with Dr. Nestor and Dr. Buckley. She was trained in various aspects of the field including dermoscopy, Moh’s surgery, skin checks, and treating various dermatologic conditions. She developed great relationships with our providers and quickly grew such a passion for medical and surgical dermatology.
After graduation, Bridget started her career as a Nurse Practitioner with us here at Siperstein Dermatology group, where she underwent a dermatology specialized training program with Dr. Nestor and Dr. Meran. She is skilled in all aspects of medical and surgical dermatology including Mohs surgery closures and surgical excisions with a particular passion for skin cancer prevention and treatment. She also enjoys participating in clinical research to keep current with new and innovative advances in dermatology.
Bridget practices with a “patient-centered” approach, in providing care that is responsive to individual preferences, needs, and values. She emphasizes the importance of establishing good patient-provider relationships and involves each patient in their own health care decisions. In her free time, Bridget enjoys staying physically active with spinning, weightlifting, yoga, kayaking, and playing beach volleyball. She also loves to try new restaurants and attend sporting events, especially her favorite team, the Buffalo Bills!
